India Relaxes E-Visa Policy at the time when the leaders of both countries, President Xi Jinping and PM Narendra Modi met for the 2nd India-China informal summit.
Embassy declared “October 2019 onwards, Chinese nationals can apply for an e-Tourist visa (e-TV) of a 5-year validity with multiple entries. The visa fee for this 5-year multiple entry e-TV will be USD 80.”
Moreover, the prospective visitors can now get single-entry thirty-day validity e-TV at a lower visa cost of USD 25 and the visa cost for a thirty-day e-TV during the months of April to June will be only USD 10.
The release stated that the one-year multiple-entry e-TV will proceed to be offered at a lower visa cost of USD 40.
Furthermore, e-TV, the existing e-medical visa, and the one-year multiple-entry e-business visa and e-conference visa will be available through the online platform of Indian visas.
The embassy stated, “It is anticipated that this unilateral liberalization of e-TVs for Chinese nationals will further enhance people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and encourage more Chinese tourists to choose India as a destination for tourism purposes.”
