Hundreds of Afghans gathered on Monday waiting to hear from Pakistan’s embassy to reopen after it indefinitely shut down its services in the past. The Pak consular office in Kabul was closed over security reasons after several staff members were harassed by unknown assailants in the Afghan capital.
This also resulted in border fire exchange due to which the tensions rise between both countries.
Afghans seeking medical care available in Pakistani Hospital were found agitated because of the closure of visa process delays.
Here is what Abdullah Abded, who traveled from Parwan province north of Kabul, told AFP news agency:
“I am in a hurry to reach Pakistan as the mother of my seven children is very ill, and I urgently need to take her to Pakistan for treatment. I feel desperate. I may have to tell my children that their mother may die because we cannot get the visa.”
