The UK Government has reduced the visa limitations for NHS (National Health Service) workers, immigrant entrepreneurs, as well as overstayers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Difficulties and penalties for overstaying a UK visa have now been eliminated.

Furthermore, NHS (National Health Service) workers that are present in Britain can work anywhere around the country, without any limit on the working hours.

The announcement by the Home Office and UK Visas and Immigration provide information and guidance for:

1. Visa customers and applicants in the UK

2. Visa customers outside the UK

3. British overseas that need to apply for a passport

Those foreigners in the UK will be hoped to take appropriate measures for leaving the UK whenever possible. Otherwise, they need to regularize their stay in the UK.

Those who are planning to leave the UK and have a visa which will expire between November 1 to November 30, 2020, can request additional time for staying in the UK. It is referred to as “exceptional assurance”, this extra time can be claimed by submitting an online form. The exceptional assurance is short-term protection against any adverse impacts.

On the other hand, those who wish to stay and regularize their stay in the UK will need to apply for the appropriate permit to stay. The terms and conditions of the permit will pursue to be the same till the time of the application is declared.

If you have overstayed your visa, and it has expired between January 24, to August 31, 2020, in that case, you will experience “no future adverse immigration consequences”, if you had not applied to regularise your stay in that period.

Moreover, if you had not submitted a request for an exceptional assurance or for regularising your stay, you must take steps for leaving the UK.

The UK Government has not only reduced the visa limitations for overstayers, but it also reopened many UK VACS (UK Visa and Citizenship Application Centres) for their current customers. If you want to apply for the Global Talent visa, you need to meet the following conditions.

1. The endorsement was granted either after or on January 24, 2020.

2. You need to apply for the visa before January 1, 2021.

All the petitions for the Global Talent visa are considered to be on a case-by-case basis, only if the applications do not fulfil the above-listed requirements.

All the Start-up or Innovator visa applicants with their endorsement expiring because they are unable to travel to the UK can still be qualified to apply for a visa. All petitions will be examined on a case-by-case basis.

Please Note That: If you have a 30-days visa to the UK that is due to expire, you can then apply for a replacement visa with reviewed validity dates for no cost for the rest of this year. But, this does not apply to other kinds of visas.

The process of replacement visas will remain in effect before the end of 2020. For More Details Contact Us.
